Dr. Clinton Brown

Dr. Brown is originally from Iuka, MS, where at a young age, he knew he wanted to work with animals. Dr. Brown attended Mississippi State University, where he obtained a BS in Agricultural Business and degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.

After graduation, Dr. Brown moved to Birmingham, AL and worked as an associate veterinarian at a small animal practice. Wanting to move closer to home, Dr. Brown moved to the Shoals area in 2015. He joined Shoals Area Veterinary Emergency in March of 2020. Dr. Brown enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery, but has a special interest in canine reproduction.

Leah H.
Licensed Veterinary Technician, Office Manager
Leah joined SAVE in November of 2018. She graduated from Columbia State Community College in 2009 earning her LVT license. She was inspired from her early childhood years on her grandfathers farm to peruse a career in the animal field. Prior to SAVE, Leah has practiced in small animal and emergency clinics  for 15+ years. At home, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, two dogs (Reese and Shade), and one cat (Delilah). Her hobbies include landscaping, gardening, DIY projects, hunting and many outdoor activities. Leah enjoys working at SAVE because of the importance of helping all pet owners have access to after hour care.  

Amber J.

Licensed Veterinary Technician, Facility Manager
Amber joined us here at SAVE in July 2017. She obtained her LVT from Jefferson State Community College in 2008. Over the last 13 years, she has worked with private clinics, as well as, the Florence Animal Shelter. At home, she spends her time with her 5 rescue dogs, 1 cat, 2 goats, and 9 rescue pigs. She advocates for re-homing pets in need, and helps them find the best family possible. Her hobbies include hiking with her dogs, painting, and animal rescue work. Amber enjoys working at SAVE because she enjoys helping clients who are in immediate need of care for their pets. 

Ashley M. 
License Veterinary Technician

Ashley started out at SAVE Hospital in 2018 helping part-time, in January 2020 she took on more hours and is now here every weekend. Ashley graduated from Jefferson State Community College in 2019 obtaining her LVT license. In her free time she enjoys traveling as much as she can! When she isn't out adventuring, Ashley is spending time with her boyfriend, friends, and adored dogs. She has one blue heeler named Oakley and one lab mix named Chief. She is enjoys working at SAVE Hospital and applying her knowledge and abilities to provide high quality pet care. 

Caitlin H. 

Caitlin started here at SAVE Hospital in September 2019. 

Ivy H. 

Ivy joined us here at SAVE in March 2019. Prior to joining our team, Ivy worked for Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine within Population Medicine. She loves working with all types of animals. She has interned in various locations working with fisheries and wildlife. As well as, she has many pets at home. Her pets include three dogs, a cat, two rats, a guinea pig, a hedgehog, a savannah monitor, and four horses. She loves spending time with all her animals and all outdoor activities! Her favorite part about working here at SAVE, is that she can be here when your regular veterinarian is closed. 

We also employ staff members from your favorite local day practices to fill in when needed.  This might include veterinarians or support staff.  So, while you will typically meet one of the staff members shown above if you have to visit our clinic, your favorite veterinarian or vet tech could be the face that greets you in the exam room.
